Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Jack Garner said freezing rain has already begun to fall in areas to our west, such as Starke County. In response, the National Weather Service has moved up the issuance of the winter weather advisory and updated our forecasted start time of freezing rain to before 1 pm.  Afternoon conditions are expected to be worse than originally expected.

Freezing rain is expected to fall beginning around 1 pm today and lasting into the early afternoon tomorrow.

The freezing rain will transition into regular rain tomorrow afternoon when the temperature gets above 32 degrees.

Drive carefully on icy roads! Remember, a Travel Advisory is still in effect for Marshall County!
