The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marshall, Starke, Pulaski, Fulton, LaPorte, White, Cass and St, Joseph counties in Indiana and Cass and Berrien counties in Michigan from 4 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather service says we can expect freezing rain with total ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch.

This weather will make for difficult travel conditions.  The hazardous conditions may impact the Monday evening commute and hazardous travel is also expected Tuesday morning.

Temperatures are expected to gradually rise above freezing Tuesday afternoon.

Drivers should slow down and use caution during this weather event.  Citizens should also prepare for possible power outages.
