Officer Williams with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested an Indianapolis man while on routine patrol on U.S. 31 Thursday evening January 11th at about 8:25.

The Marshall County Deputy stopped a Black Chevrolet Tahoe on U.S. 31 near Lincoln Highway. 

During his investigation, the driver, 36-year-old Terrance O. Phillips was found to have suspected Marijuana on his person.

Phillips was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for possession of marijuana and held on a $250 cash bond.  Terrance Phillips was released on bond about an hour later.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
