A free watch party tonight and a special Friday Date Night movie highlight this week at The REES, 100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

The No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers will travel to Assembly Hall to face the Indiana Hoosiers in Big Ten play Tuesday and The REES will have it on the big screen, starting at 7 p.m. The event is free and Bruno’s will be selling pizza by the slice, along with the regular concessions and beverages available. While the watch party is free, fans are encouraged to download or pick up tickets before the game.

On Friday, “El Barrendero (Street Sweeper),” a popular Spanish language film, will be the Date Night movie. Cantinflas plays the role of a humble street sweeper named Napoleón or “Don Napo,” who is the only witness to the robbery of a valuable painting. He is threatened by the art thieves while also becoming a suspect in the police investigation. The movie will have English subtitles. For adults 18-and-over. The movie starts at 7:30. Tickets are $5.

The Family Movie Matinee on Sunday, Jan. 21 (2 p.m.) will feature “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” Based on the popular Nintendo game, the animated film follows the plumber Mario as he and his brother Luigi travel through an underground labyrinth to try and save a captured princess. Rated PG, the movie features the voice talents of Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser.  Adults are $5, children 12-and-under are free with an accompanying adult.
