Last week, Plymouth High School Athletic Director Josh Troyer introduced the new soccer coach.

Jesus Jimenez was selected as the next Varsity Boys Soccer Coach effective on January 9th.  Troyer said Coach Jimenez brings valuable experience as part of the staff and community along with a desire to build the success of Plymouth Rockies Soccer into the future.

Coach Jimenez attended Indiana University-South Bend and will graduate this May.  While there he attained a Bachelor of Secondary Social Studies Education.  Jesus Jimenez is a PHS graduate of 2018 and played soccer while at PHS, which included a Sectional title in his tenure and All-District recognition.

Coach Jimenez has extensive coaching experience.  He served as the JV Boys Soccer coach at PHS for 4 years and spent this post season as the varsity assistant coach.  Coach’s parents Adrian Garcia and Jesus Jimenez along with his brother Mauricio are excited to see Jesus lead the Rockies program.

Coach Jimenez stated, “I’m looking forward to growing the soccer community in Plymouth, building our culture of Rockies soccer, and of course winning trophies.”

Athletic Director Josh Troyer stated, “We posted this position statewide to about 280 schools and athletic directors and felt we found the best candidate to unite our soccer program and lead the team to future success.  Coach Jimenez has a great plan for PHS soccer and is passionate being a former PHS graduate himself.”
