The Marshall County Council will meet tonight, Thursday, January 11th at 6 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.  The meeting is open to the public and streamed live on the county’s website.

Members of the council will reorganize with the election of officer.  They will also hear a report from County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters on the 2024 Community Crossing matching grant.  Council members will also consider additional and transfers of appropriations. 

Ordinance 2024-4 will establish the new Employee Benefits Fund and members of the County Council will consider the 2024 agreement with Lebbin Law and Cender Dalton for financial consulting.  The 2024 Sheriff’s Contract will be presented for approval and they will make their 2024 board appointments. 

The County Council also offers a time for public input on agenda items at the beginning of the meeting and a second opportunity for public comment on any item at the end of the meeting.
