Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Schuman released the following information about today’s bomb threat on the school’s Facebook page.

This morning our Middle/High School received a bomb threat via a phone call to another county. Our administration immediately took action to ensure our students’ safety. Local authorities were contacted and on scene. All Middle and High School students were relocated to Culver Elementary School. Bomb squads searched the school building, and no suspicious or explosive devices were discovered and there is no evidence supporting the validity of these threats.

We want to thank our staff, community members, and local law enforcement for their swift actions. We would like to commend the staff and students at Culver Community Schools. The staff did a wonderful job ensuring the safety of our students and moving them to the proper locations for dismissal. This was an unfortunate occurrence, and everyone worked together as one organized team.

Any remaining students after the all clear was called returned back to the school building to finish out their school day.

Again, we want to thank the Culver Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Indiana State Police for their assistance during this situation.
