An Illinois driver traveling at 96 mph in a 60 mph was arrested by Plymouth Police on Thursday, January 4th at about 8:30 in the evening.      

Officer Fisher stopped the vehicle and the driver was identified as Noemi Amaro Chavez, 19, of Lansing IL.

The officer determined that Chavez had never had a license and during the investigation, it was also determined that she was in possession of marijuana.

Noemi Chavez was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail.  She was booked in for operator never licensed and possession of marijuana.  Her cash bond was paid about an hour later and she was released on bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
