Plymouth Police responded to a possible impaired or unsafe driver heading east on Lake Avenue near Plum Street at about 12:30 in the morning of Saturday, December 30th.   

Police Officers arrived at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Walnut Street and noticed a black GMC pickup truck with the engine running and a driver in the driver’s seat.

The driver, 33-year-old Robert Lee Warner Jr, of Park Lane in Plymouth, had left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. He was extremely intoxicated and was transported to the Plymouth Hospital.

Warner was taken into custody for operating his vehicle with a blood alcohol content over 4x the legal limit. Once cleared by the medical staff, Warner was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVWI)-endangering, OVWI over .15, and OVWI with a prior conviction.

The cash bond for Robert Warner Jr was set at $1,500 and paid at about 12:30 in the afternoon and he was released on bond. 

 Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
