The Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County introduced three new members to their Board of Directors.
Delia Salazar is a graduate of Plymouth High School, received a BS in Communication from the University of Indianapolis, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint. Delia is a Trust Officer at 1st Source Bank. She is also a member of the Junior League of South Bend. Delia is looking forward to working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County and giving back to the community in which she was raised.
Morgan Sissel is a Realtor with Collins & Company in Plymouth. Morgan was born and raised in Plymouth, graduating from PHS in 2011. From there Morgan went to Indiana University – Bloomington, where she majored in Arts Management with a focus in non-profit organizations. She came back to Plymouth after graduation, now living here with her husband Aaron Landrey and their dog Nala. Morgan is excited to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County Board, hoping to further the success of the club itself as well as all the children it serves in our community.
James L. (JB) Brown is the 4th generation in the family-owned company established by his great-grandfather in 1939. He began his career early at BCI working in all departments of the foundry during his high school summers, ICE programs, and while attending Purdue and Indiana University. JB received an Executive Management Certificate from the University of Notre Dame and a General Management Certificate from the University of Texas/Austin, JB started his full-time career in 1993, becoming company president in 2005 and CEO in 2020. He became Chairman of the Board of BCI in 2021. JB is serving on several industry boards including the Michiana AFS, Purdue University Metalcasting Advisory Board, Ductile Iron Society, Indiana Cast Metals Association, Iron Casting Research Institute; as well as the Indiana Manufacturer’s Association. He also serves on the Marshall County Community Corrections Board of Directors. JB was a long-time member of YPO and recently graduated to YPO Gold.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County was founded in 1995 by Leonard and JoAnn Isban. Housed in a former restaurant that Leonard refurbished, the Club initially saw 40 kids daily. In August 2009 a Bremen Club was opened within the school starting with 78 kids. In 2016 a capital campaign began and in 2018 the JoAnn and Leonard Isban Center for Youth was opened for members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County. With the ongoing support of the community the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County has been able to operate the two sites since 2009, serving over 1,000 kids annually.
