A joint investigation resulted in the arrest of three individuals.

During the past several months, a number of police agencies in and around Marshall County have received reports of thefts of trailers and equipment from businesses and homes.

The results of a joint investigation with the Plymouth Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department conclude with three people being arrested for those crimes.  They have all been charged in Marshall County.

David Riche, 57, of Walkerton is in the Marshall County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond for theft.  His charges include two counts of theft as level five felonies and three counts of theft as level six felonies.

37-year-old Amber Sneed of Walkerton is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond for conspiracy to commit theft as a level five felony.

Eric Barnard, 46, from South Bend is in the Marshall County Jail with eight counts of theft as level six felonies.  His cash bond was set at $10,000.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
