Dorothy was very involved at the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, Indiana where she was a faithful member of the chancel choir as well as an Adult Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study leader for many years.
Dorothy had a love for oil painting, spending many hours in the study of light, composition, and nature.  Her greatest joy was capturing the “essense” of a person through portrait painting. Some of her greatest works, however, were captured in her paintings of gardens, flowers, and landscapes.  Dorothy was a member of the Heartland Artist Gallery in Plymouth Indiana and participated in displaying her oil paintings in several art shows.
