Thursday morning, December 7th at 10:40 in the morning Marshall County Police Officers responded to a property damage collision on State Road 17 at Glen Overmyer Drive west of Plymouth.
Arriving on the scene it was found that a 2009 brown Kia passenger car driven by 85-year-old Richard Shay of Chesterton and a 2022 red Subaru SUV driven by 75-year-old Judy Goebel of Plymouth had been involved in a collision.
The police investigation showed that Shay had driven into the path of Mrs. Goebel as he was attempting to make a left turn from State Road 17 onto Overmyer Drive.
Mr. Shay was transported from the scene to Saint Joseph Regional Medical for minor injuries. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Plymouth Police Department and Plymouth Fire Department.
