A Fort Wayne woman was arrested by Plymouth Police on Tuesday, December 5th following a traffic stop. 

Officer Witkowski conducted a traffic stop at North Michigan Street and the U.S. 30 overpass at approximately 2:41 am after observing the vehicle driving north without headlights. 

During the traffic stop, the officer identified the driver as Kayla Johnson, 22, of Ft Wayne.  While speaking with Johnson the officer suspected that she was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. 

Kayla Johnson was taken into custody for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
