On Saturday, December 2nd, at 10:47 p.m. a deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica in the area of U.S. 30 and Oak Road in Plymouth for speeding.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was identified as 34-year-old Linda Johnson of Fort Wayne.

K-9 Bear was utilized and indicated to the odor of drugs in the vehicle. During a probable cause search, Linda Johnson was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged for Possession of Marijuana as a Class B misdemeanor with a cash bond of $255.  Her cash bond was paid at 11:30 Sunday morning and Linda Johnson was released on bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
