On the evening before Thanksgiving, November 22nd, at approximately 7:45, Plymouth Police were conducting reckless driving enforcement on U.S. 30 when a speeding vehicle was identified traveling west on U.S. 30 from Michigan Road.

A traffic stop was initiated on U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive and the driver was identified as Aung Thein-Win, 22, of Fort Wayne.

During the officer’s investigation, it was determined that the vehicle’s registration was suspended and did not have insurance.  Aung was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
