Just in time for your year-end decluttering, the Marshall County Solid Waste District will hold its Annual Grateful Shred confidential paper shredding event this Saturday, December 2nd. Have a large amount of shredding? Need to watch your papers being shredded? This event is for you!

All Marshall County residents may bring their confidential documents for shredding from 8 a.m. – 12 noon at the Recycle Depot. Only confidential documents will be accepted, including bank statements, financial records, and medical records—anything with a social security number or credit card information. We will not accept trash, personal mail, cardboard, spiral or vinyl notebooks, magazines, or newspapers for shredding. Please remove all binder clips: staples and paper clips are okay.

Businesses and municipalities may also participate. Municipalities may shred for free. Business shredding is free up to 100 pounds, then $.15 a pound above that.

The Recycle Depot is Marshall County’s headquarters for recycling, household chemical and hazardous waste disposal, and environmental education. The Depot is located at 1900 Walter Glaub Drive in Plymouth. For more information and hours, call (574) 935-8618 or visit the Depot’s website at www.myrecycledepot.org.
