This week, Hoosier lawmakers gathered at the Statehouse in Indianapolis for Organization Day, which is the official start to the 2024 legislative session.

State Representative Jack Jordan (R-BREMEN) said, “Session kickoff is an exciting and important opportunity to meet with fellow policymakers to discuss issues facing our communities and state and make plans for the session ahead.”

Lawmakers won’t return for session until January 8th and must complete their work before the March 14th deadline. Rep. Jordan said in a release, “Please stay connected with me as January approaches and proposals for new laws come before the legislature for consideration. I can be reached at h17@iga.in.gov or by calling 317-232-9600.”

Another great resource to stay involved and informed is by visiting iga.in.gov, which is the Indiana General Assembly’s website providing helpful information on proposals for new laws, and on committee hearings and session meetings.

Representative Jordan closed his comments saying, “I look forward to working hard on behalf of our community and delivering results for House District 17.”
