Several police agencies in and around Marshall County have investigated thefts of trailers and equipment from businesses and homes.

During a joint investigation between the Plymouth Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, and St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department two people were arrested and charged on Thursday, October 19th Marshall County.

37-year-old Amber Lynn Sneed of Michigan Street in Walkerton and 57-year-old David Allen Rice of West Harrison Street in Walkerton were lodged in the Marshall County Jail. Sneed is being held on a $10,000 cash bond while Rice’s bond is $25,000. 

David Rice is charged with two counts of Theft as a Level 5 Felony and three counts of Theft as a Level 6 Felony.

Amber Sneed was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Theft as a Level 5 Felony.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
