The 57th annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival, Indiana’s largest 4-day festival will conduct opening ceremonies at 5 p.m. (Friday-today). 

Some activities got underway yesterday at 5 p.m. with the North American Midway Entertainment carnival, the beer garden, pony rides, and some food, craft, and retail vendors open.

Today there is a bloodmobile from 10 until 4 in the front of Centennial Park near the park office.  The beer garden is open until midnight and festival activities are open from noon until 9 p.m. Opening ceremonies are at 5 on the Jefferson Stage and you won’t want to miss the Little Miss & Mister Blueberry Pageant at 5:30 on the Michigan Street Stage.  The Marshall County Church Orchestra entertains on the Jefferson Stage at 6.  The Dolls, the local baton group will perform at 7 on the Michigan Street Stage and there’s a talent competition on the Jefferson Stage at 7:30. 

The theme of this year’s Marshall County Blueberry Festival is “Unifying our Community through Appreciation.”   The festival offers something for everyone.  There’s baseball, volleyball, pickleball, arm wrestling, a firemen’s water ball tournament, a car show, the garden tractor pulls, hot air balloons, a fantastic fireworks show, and lots more.
