The Marshall County Park and Recreation Board meets the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m., typically in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

The biggest project the county park board had undertaken is the relocation of the historic trustee cabin on the curve at Sycamore Road and State Road 17.   This project isn’t completed yet, but the cabin has been relocated to its new home at the southwest corner of the Memoria Forest at State Road 17 and 14th Roads. A new foundation was constructed, and the historic cabin has a new metal roof.  The handmade doors and windows still need to be completed along with the chinking.

The Marshall County Park and Recreation Board will conduct their June 2023 meeting, today, June 1st at the cabin beginning at 6 p.m.  The meeting is open to the public and those attending should bring a lawn chair and understand there are no services available such as water, electricity, or restrooms.
