Maggie Louise Kruyer, 75, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 2:15 am on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, Indiana.

On September 12, 1947, she was born in Plymouth to George F. Carl and Iris Louise (Wiel) Williams.

Maggie graduated from Plymouth High School and then furthered her education at Davenport Business School.  She worked for Cardinal Center as a MRDD trainer for the mentally challenged for 16 1/2 years, retiring in 2009.

Maggie was a character who was always honest and told it like it was and she had a good heart.  She was an avid animal lover, especially her dog Tony.  She loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching comedies, like The Golden Girls, The Carol Burnett Show, I love Lucy and The Beverly Hillbillies.  She also enjoyed going to flea markets.

She is survived by her son, James Robert Kruyer, Plymouth; her daughter, Julie (Gary) Cox, South Bend; four grandchildren, Troy Allen (BreAnna) Kruyer, who is serving in the U.S. Navy based out of San Diego, California; Nikki Lynn Kruyer, Plymouth; Kody Logan Kruyer, Inwood; Angelina Jean Cox, South Bend; four great grandchildren, Chloe Kruyer, Alex Kruyer, Roselynn Kruyer, Rosalie Kruyer; her brother, David Williams, Michigan City and former daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hughes, Inwood.  Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Dylan James Kruyer.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563 with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  A burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
