On Sunday evening, May 21, at about 7, officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the 1,000 block of North Walnut Street in reference to a domestic dispute.

During an investigation, it was found that a domestic battery had occurred between the suspect, 26-year-old Ana Hernandez, and a juvenile.

Hernandez has an address of 2401 North Michigan Street.  She was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Strangulation and Domestic Battery and held on a $1.500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
