On Thursday, May 18, at approximately 6:00 p.m. the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an impaired or unsafe driver that wrecked into a guard rail and continued to a residence located in 12,000 block of 11th Road.

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy located the vehicle and the driver at her residence at 12250 11th Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 39-year-old Miranda Poor of Plymouth.

Poor was suspected of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test and after being tested she was transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Miranda Poor was booked for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Controlled Substance, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Operating a Vehicle Without Ever Receiving a License, and Possession of Marijuana.  Her cash bond was set at $1,500. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
