Virginia Worman, age 96 of Grovertown, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in her home with her daughters by her side.

Helen “Virginia” was born the daughter of August Gabriel and Selma Maria (Mattson) Borggren in Grovertown, IN on March 9, 1927. Virginia was a lifetime resident of Grovertown, and was born at home, across from where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Grovertown High School in 1945. She married Jesse Martin Worman on May 12, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2010.  She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman, and along with her husband, showed a great example of a Christian marriage.  She attended Evangelical Covenant Church in Donaldson for over 70 years, loved her church where she was a faithful member of the Friendship Class, Covenant Women, and served on various committees. She was a dental assistant to Dr. Arnold Dunfee, and later, a bookkeeper for Gates Chevrolet of Plymouth, Marshall Brother’s Ford of Culver, and Jim Labas Chevrolet of Plymouth. In between working for the dealerships, she enjoyed her time working with Umbaugh & McQueen Accounting Firm of Plymouth. She retired from Plymouth’s Jellystone Park Campground in 1993. She was also a great help with the family poultry farm, which included 5000 birds at a time. Virginia was a NASCAR fan, but only the last 20 laps, and a Ryan Newman fan. She loved her home that was built by her husband with the aid of her father and brother, Ray. She paid attention to detail, especially in the care and decorating of her home. She was also thought of as a smart dresser and always looked put together. She enjoyed taking walks around her property.

Virginia will be missed dearly by her daughters: Kathleen Marie Worman Titus of Atwood, IN; Barbara Ann Worman of Grovertown, IN; her grandchildren: John (Katie) Trzcinski of Waddy, KY; Kristy (Rick) McCarthy of Louisville, KY; Kevin Trzcinski of Louisville, KY; her great-grandchildren: Ashlyn Trzcinski of Warsaw, IN; Eric Trzcinski of Claypool, IN; Evan Trzcinski and Kody Trzcinski of Warsaw, IN; Skylar Blakley (Fiancé Michael Langston) of Jeffersonville, IN; Jesse Trzcinski and Isaac Trzcinski of Waddy, KY; Wyatt, Lucy, and Hudson McCarthy of Louisville, KY; her great-great-granddaughter, Novaleigh Langston of Jeffersonville, IN; her sister-in-law, Glenna Borggren of Plymouth, IN; Mandy Sons, of Warsaw, IN (mother of Ashlyn, Eric, Evan, and Kody); many special nieces and nephews including Char Hansen; and special friends, Phil Jacobson; and Carlla Kiser.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Martin Worman; her brother, Raymond L. Borggren (11/3/2020); her son-in-law, Jerry L. Titus (10/4/2017); her triplet half-brothers: John Stewart “Stewey” Borggren (7/13/1933), Carl Roland Borggren (12/16/1918); and William August Borggren (4/1/1963); sister-in-law, Eleanor Borggren (12/3/2015); and special cousin, Elaine Hansen (5/24/2020).
