Officer Wozniak with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the 11,000 block of Lincoln Highway on Sunday, May 14th at approximately 9 p.m. for a physical domestic between two male subjects. 

Officer Wozniak was able to separate the subjects. The aggressor, Candido Ramirez Rangel 31, of the 11600 Lincoln Highway, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was detained. It was determined that he battered his brother and choked him during a physical altercation.

Candido Rangel was transported to the Marshall County Jail and was processed for Domestic Battery and Strangulation and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

County police were assisted at the scene by Plymouth Police. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.
