Tri Kappa Announces Winners of Spring Student Art Show

On May 5, the Plymouth chapter of Tri Kappa recognized the artistic talents of area students with its 2023 Spring Student Art Show held at Plymouth High School. The organization invited Plymouth students from fifth to twelfth grade to submit their finest pieces for the show, which were judged by members of the Heartland Artists, Jayne Jacobson and Jae Yoon.

Plymouth High School student, Alivia Kizer, wowed the judges with her Best-In-Show painting, and Anna Cassidy received two first-place ribbons for her Black and White Drawing and Mixed Media entries. Reece Jones, Miel Ramirez, Sophia Funk, and Heaven Trevino took top honors in fifth through eighth grades, respectively. Students placed in the show received certificates, ribbons, and monetary awards provided by Tri Kappa.

The student art will be on display in the door 5 corridor of Plymouth High School until May 12. The public may enter through door 5 after 3:15 p.m.
