A 19-year-old Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail for two counts of Dealing in Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug. 

Joseph Morales Jr. of the 15,000 block of 3rd Road was arrested on a warrant Monday morning, May 1st on a case through the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Court papers say on December 21, 2022, Morales sold 1.4 grams of blue tablets presented as Percocet to an informant at the Gatewood Mobil Home Park in LaPaz for $250.  On December 28th he sold 1.5 grams of cocaine to an informant at his residence on 3rd Road in Plymouth. 

It was noted that Joseph Morales Jr. has a previous conviction for possession of cocaine. 

Both of these counts for Dealing are Level 5 Felonies.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
