The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a call about a multiple-vehicle accident on U.S. 31 at the intersection with State Road 10 Friday, April 21st just after 4:30 in the afternoon.

Axton Berger, 20, of Plymouth, was traveling westbound on State Road 10 and had crossed the northbound lanes of U.S. 31 in a 2015 Kia Force.  As he attempted to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. 31, multiple vehicles in the southbound left turn lane blocked his view.

Berger continued westbound failing to yield the right of way to a 1998 GMC Sierra driven by Misty Duevalle, 47 of Macy. The impact of the two vehicles colliding sent Duevalle’s GMC into a Ford Escape driven by Leeann Enix,55, of Berrien Springs.  She had been eastbound on State Road 10 and was waiting to head north on US. 31.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies, Argos Fire, EMS, and Police responded to the scene.

One patient, Leeann Enix was transported to Memorial Hospital for her injuries.
