Marshall County Police and Plymouth Fire responded to a single vehicle fatal crash Wednesday afternoon just before 3.

County Coroner John Grolich reported that 33-year-old Jordan Cahall of Elkhart died as a result of injuries suffered in the traffic crash on U.S. 31 north of Veterans Parkway.

Cahall the sole occupant and driver of the Chevy Impala was southbound on U.S. 31.  For unknown reasons he crossed the median into the northbound lanes.  The vehicle rolled over and come to rest on its side.

Cahall was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.

Deputy Tempelman released details of the crash Friday morning.  His report states that Central Dispatch received a call about a vehicle all over the roadway at 2:43 in the afternoon.  County officers were responding to the area when another 911 call came in at 2:47. That caller said the vehicle had collided with the cable barriers on U.S. 31 in the area of 5A Road, rolled over, and came to rest on its side. On the right shoulder of the northbound lanes. 

The crash is being investigated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office.  The Indiana State Police, Plymouth and LaPaz Fire Departments, and Union-North Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
