Marian University’s Ancilla College (MUAC) has announced two leadership changes. In June, Natalie Tucker, Ph.D., Ancilla’s Department Head of Agriculture, will become the new MUAC Dean of Academics. The current Dean of Academics of MUAC, Gay Lynn Crossley, Ph.D., will return to the university’s Indianapolis campus to serve in the Office of the Provost.

“Dr. Tucker’s extensive experience in guiding collegiate programs makes her a clear fit to lead academics at Marian University’s Ancilla College”, said Joseph Heidt, chancellor of MUAC. “Through her leadership and commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly activities, our students will graduate as transformative leaders who are prepared to serve in our community and beyond. I look forward to Dr. Tucker’s future impact on our campus and Northern Indiana.”

Dr. Natalie Tucker has served as Agriculture Department Head and Assistant Professor of Agriculture at MUAC for six years, providing administrative leadership to the college’s agriculture program, developing agriculture curriculum, and teaching numerous undergraduate courses in agriculture. As Academic Dean, Dr. Tucker will lead all academic activities for the college, including working with faculty and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience to students.

“I am very honored and humbled to serve Marian University’s Ancilla College in this role”, said Dr. Tucker. “Being able to work closely with staff, faculty, administration, and regional stakeholders to carry on our mission and values with clarity, integrity and momentum in this leadership role is a very exciting opportunity that I look forward to embracing.”

Prior to serving as Dean of Academics at MUAC, Dr. Gay Lynn Crossley was as professor of English at Marian University in Indianapolis for 25 years. Beginning in June, she will return to work with the students, staff, and faculty at the Indianapolis campus.
