The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department (MCSD) raised money for Ounce of Prevention and promoted awareness of breast cancer by selling logo wear.

Ounce of Prevention (OOP) is a not-for-profit organization that was created to increase awareness and provide support to those fighting cancer.

The funds raised by OOP are kept here in the Marshall County community. Their mission statement is “to unify the small efforts of many to create a greater impact to assist those diagnosed with and affected by cancer.”   The Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept. has participated in this fundraiser and increased awareness campaign for several years. Thanks to the generosity of our community and the hard work of our employees, we have once again raised over $1000.

A presentation of the funds raised was made to Jennifer Houin with OOP on Tuesday morning at the Sheriff’s Office.
