During the Marshall County Drainage Board meeting on Monday, November 21st, Drainage Board President Kevin Overmyer honored Barb Neidlinger who will be retiring.

Neidlinger has submitted her retirement for early next year although she plans to stay on board to help her replacement become familiar with the job duties.

During the meeting, Larry Fisher, the former County Surveyor said that Barb had worked as his assistant for 32 years and had worked for the Surveyor’s Office for 37 years and for the county even longer than that.

Barb Neidlinger has been an employee with Marshall County for a total of 48 years.  She was just a “pup” when she started.

Following the meeting, the County Drainage Board took pictures to commemorate her recognition.
