PLYMOUTH- Leon A. “Pete” Churchill, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 4, 2022.
He was born in LaPorte, Indiana on August 23, 1971, to Leon and Sharon (Watts) Churchill. He attained his GED from Plymouth High School.
Pete was a skilled laborer in construction and did various side jobs. He was a good, hard worker.
He was very involved in his children’s activities and interests. Pete was a jokester and loved making people laugh. He was very caring, loving, and kindhearted and would do anything for anyone in need.
He loved fishing on the river, watching UFC on tv, YouTube and sports. He was a Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys fan. Pete loved his family with all his heart and had faith in Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his children: Daniel Collins of Plymouth, Derrick (Erika Fuchs) Collins of Plymouth, Dacoda (Taylor Landrie) Churchill of Plymouth, and Jordan (Anias Bakian) Churchill of Bremen; his mother Sherry (Joe) Barnes of Plymouth; his father Leon (Joyce) Churchill of LaPorte; stepchildren: Courtney Hochstetler of Cromwell, IN, Shania Hochstetler of Nappanee, Jessica (Stefan) Trout of Plymouth and Amanda Sobiek of Plymouth; grandson Elliott; step grandchildren: Ashton, Phoenix, Ramya and Aryannah; sisters, Shelley (Dave) Beabout of Plymouth and Kelley Churchill of Plymouth as well as many nieces and nephews: his ex-fiancé Dottie Collins; ex-wife Marsha Churchill and ex-wife Linda Churchill.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with his uncle Jesse Stevens officiating.
