West Lafayette, IN – Karen Schlosser, President of the Purdue Alumni Club of Marshall County, has been awarded the Boilermaker Pride Award for 2022.  Established in 2005, the award recognizes a club leader who has contributed significant time and service to the Purdue for Life Alumni Club program. 

Schlosser has served the Purdue Alumni Club of Marshall County as an officer for many years and through her leadership, she has been integral in bringing in new members and expanding recognition of Samuel Elliott Perkins, IV, and Purdue Club of Marshall County scholarship winners in partnership with the Community Foundation of Marshall County. 

She and her husband, Sam, met while students at Purdue and continue to support the university through the Purdue Alumni Association, the John Purdue Club, and the President’s Council, as well as Purdue Musical Organizations.  Schlosser spent more than 40 years at Plymouth Foundry working in a variety of leadership and administrative roles alongside her husband.  She and Sam live in Plymouth and are parents to their two grown daughters, Lori and Amee.
