Members of the Marshall County Election Board were updated on early voting by County Clerk Deb VanDeMark during their meeting Tuesday.  “It’s been a pretty good turnout so far,” according to the clerk.

The report on early voting showed 1,612 walk-in voters in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office.  Last Saturday there were 167 voters who stopped by the Pines in Bremen and cast their ballot early.  Another 124 voters stopped by the Culver School Corporation Building on Saturday and voted early.  That’s just over 1,900 voters who have already cast their ballots for the November 8th General Election.

VanDeMark said they have mailed out about 750 absentee ballots from the applications received.  She said they are still waiting on several of the mailed ballots to be returned.  They must be received in the County Clerk’s office by noon on Monday, November 7th to be counted in Tuesday’s election.

In person voting in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office in the Courthouse is available on Friday, Nov. 4th from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. and on Monday, Nov. 7th from 8 A.M. until noon.

Registered voters will have another opportunity to vote early this Saturday, November 5th in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office in the Courthouse, at the Bremen Pines and in the Culver School Corporation Administration Building.  Saturday voting is open from 8 A.M. till 3 P.M.
