Monday evening the Plymouth Common Council considered a resolution after the City Plan Commission confirmed that the two new projects for TIF District #3, the U.S. 30/Pine Road Economic Development Area support the city’s Comprehensive Plan.

The two projects proposed to be added to the project list are the road construction of improvements to Commerce Street west of Pioneer Drive; and financial support for the development of a new hotel that is being negotiated on the lot to the east of Mancino’s.

The City Council reviewed the projects and was supportive of the projects and unanimously approved the two projects.

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission will conduct a public hearing in November to take final confirmatory action, and implementation, and amend the project list for TIF #3.

The City Council also approved the annual request of the Clerk/Treasurer authorizing the investment of public funds.
