Marshall County Sheriff Matthew Hassel would like to remind motorists that it is harvest season in Indiana once again. Hoosier farmers are working their fields, using the roads to access their field and move their harvest to storage.

Unfortunately, the increased traffic causes a greater chance for accidents to occur, so motorists are urged to be cautious, never tailgate farming equipment, slowing your driving speed down significantly decreases the risk of injuries, and always be alert for farming equipment on the roadways.

Sheriff Hassel says, “Let’s all do our part to make our roads safe during the harvest season.
