The Marshall County Historical Society is debuting a brand-new exhibit on October 1st in conjunction with the Grand Re-Opening of The REES.

The exhibit titled, Marshall County at the Movies: From Silent Films to Top Gun, highlights county residents who became famous in all aspects of the movie industry, as well as local theaters and a selection of REES memorabilia. The Marshall Gallery will be transformed into an Opening Night Extravaganza Saturday, October 1, featuring a red-carpet photo opportunity and a trivia contest.

The Museum will be open from 5:00 until 8:00 during the REES dinner, dedication, and Denver Bierman concert.  On October 2, the museum will also be open during the Community Tour of The REES from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Marshall County has been involved in the movie industry since the very beginning. You will be amazed at the people you will meet, including our local Tarzan, an iconic film critic, and Mark Twain, just to name a few.

After the grand opening weekend, the exhibit will run through fall, 2023, during regular business hours.
