On Saturday, September 10, Marshall County Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Oak Drive. The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle traveled northbound in the southbound lanes of U.S. 31 into Saint Joseph County. The driver, identified as 39-year-old Joseph Hudson of Monroe Street in Plymouth eventually stopped, and fled on foot, and was quickly apprehended.

Mr. Hudson was found to have a suspended license and a Felony warrant for his arrest as well as a valid protective order preventing communication with a passenger in the vehicle. He was transported back to Marshall County Jail for the crimes of Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving, and Invasion of Privacy in addition to the arrest warrant. He has a $5,000 cash bond on the new charges.

A passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Amanda Duckett of Elkhart, was arrested and transported back to Marshall County for Assisting a Criminal and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
