David’s Courage, a treatment and recovery home located in Plymouth Indiana is hosting an inaugural motorcycle ride “Ride for Recovery” this Saturday, September 3rd.

Ride for Recovery is an event with two goals; raise funds to fight addiction and raise awareness. Hosting a breakfast and a ride, David’s Courage is hoping to accomplish both those missions in a single event.

“We are starting the day with breakfast for anyone who wants to join us” states Gregg Erickson, Board President, and Manager of David’s Courage. “For the motorcycle enthusiasts, kickstands go up at 10:30 and we ride together for approximately one hour throughout Bourbon, Rochester, and Argos.”

A donation of $10 includes breakfast. The ride is $25 which includes breakfast and a Ride for Recovery designed t-shirt. There will also be raffle prizes and items from the woodshop available to purchase. The event is hosted at David’s Courage with breakfast and registration from 9:00 – 10:30 and the ride starts at 10:30.

A motorcycle rider himself, Erickson adds “We’ve been told a group of riders are coming as far away as Indianapolis. That is exciting. There is nothing quite like gathering a large group of bikers from all over to ride for a united cause on a beautiful day.”
