On Tuesday afternoon, Faith Freed, Administrator of the Marshall County Health Department released details on a three-day suspension of Women Infants and Children (WIC) benefits across the State of Indiana for later this week.

Indiana WIC benefits will NOT be available on Friday, August 26th, Saturday, August 27th, and Sunday, August 28th. You will not be able to buy food or formula with your eWIC card on these three days, so please PLAN AHEAD! You will not be able to call the phone number on the back of your eWIC card.  You will not be able to use the INWIC Mobile App to check current benefits or scan UPC codes and unused WIC benefits that expire on these days will not be refunded.  If you have SNAP benefits, they will be available on these days.

WIC benefits will be available again on August 29.

If clients have questions or concerns, they can call their local WIC clinic, find information on wic.in.gov, call 1-800-522-0874, or email inwic@isdh.in.gov.
