Argos Teen Killed in U.S. 31 Crash

An Argos teen was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. 31

At 4:37 p.m. on August 20^th the Marshall County Dispatch Center received a call of a crash at U.S. 31 and 18^th Road south of Argos.

Emergency responders found the two vehicles in the center median with multiple injured persons. 

The deceased was identified as 17-year-old Emily J. Carr.  She was the driver of a green Chrysler Sebring that was eastbound on 18^th Road when it was struck by a southbound vehicle on US 31.

The others involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals for treatment. 

Marshall County Coroner’s Office determined that Emily Carr died of blunt force injuries received in the accident.   

The crash remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Indiana State Police accident reconstructionist.
