One of the most eagerly anticipated events in Plymouth is almost here: The Grand Re-opening of the historic REES Theatre!
Tickets for the street dinner – DINNER DEDICATION DENVER go on sale at www.reestheatre.com or Eventbrite at 12:01 A.M., August 11, 2022. Tickets for the dinner and concert on Saturday evening are $125 for floor seating and $175 for the balcony. Dinner with selections from several Marshall County vendors commences at 5:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Michigan Street. Distribution of pre-purchased food and beverage tickets will be available at a booth located at LaPorte and Michigan Street.
Free will donations will be accepted during the public tour on Sunday, October 2, from 1:00- 3:00. This tour will offer a peek at places in the theatre not normally available to the public including dressing rooms, the green room, basement, and orchestra pit.
Tuesday’s Whiskey, Wisdom, and Trivial Tidbits will be hosted by Tony Ross and feature stories about the history of the building and little-known anecdotes about the de and re-construction of the edifice. There should be some interesting – and entertaining – tidbits that come to light that night! This event $5 per person will take place from 7:00-9:00.
An evening of improv for adults and children is scheduled for 7:00 Thursday at a cost of $3 for under 12 and $5 for all others. This program will be facilitated by Kathryn Anders and promises to be a humorous two hours for all in attendance.
The last event of the Grand Re-Opening week will be Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at 1:00 on Saturday. This event will be presented in conjunction with the Downtown Merchants’ Chocolate Walk. Admission is $3 for children under 12 and $5 for adults.
Two free events will kick off the week on Saturday the 1st when Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra present a concert in River Park Square which will include a Trumpet Challenge at 1:00. It will certainly be an energetic opening to the long-awaited Grand Re-opening of the historic REES Theatre.
