Officer John Weir with the Plymouth Police Department saw 42-year-old Jason M. Hite riding a bicycle in the 1,000 block of Monroe Street Monday morning, July 18th about 7:15.  The officer knew Hite had an active warrant for his arrest, so he stopped Mr. Hite and placed him in custody.

Officer Weir found Jason Hite to have in his possession suspected methamphetamine.  Hite was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for the Level 2 Felonies and a Level 3 Felony warrant for Dealing Meth and the new charge of Possession of Meth.  Jason Hite is being held on a $11,500 cash bond.        

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
