On Wednesday, June 29th, just before 1 AM, the Marshall County Dispatch Center received a request for Plymouth Police Officers at 423 North Michigan Street, the Bellmart BP station in reference to a theft.

Corporal Richey went on scene and located 19-year-old Anthony D. Figueroa of South Bend and a juvenile in the store.

After an investigation, Figueroa was arrested for Theft, and Illegal Possession of Alcohol by a Minor.

The juvenile was detained for Theft, Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, and Resisting Law Enforcement.

Mr. Figueroa was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $500 cash bond.

The juvenile was taken to the Plymouth Police Department and was later released to his parents.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
