Marshall County Police Detective Jeff Snyder released updated information on the body discovered on 20th Road west of State Road 331 near the Tippecanoe River on Saturday, June 18th at about 11:15 in the evening. 

An autopsy was completed on Monday, June 20th which showed the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The death will be ruled a homicide.

Through information gathered while working with several police agencies, the victim’s identity is being withheld pending official confirmation and family notification.

The information gathered suggests that the shooting occurred in an out-of-state location and the body was abandoned in rural Marshall County.

The victim was described as a heavy-set male wearing white pants with blue embroidered lettering for NIKE sportswear on the leg.  He was also wearing a white t-shirt and had no shoes on.
