The Marshall County Drainage Board and Commissioners will meet Monday morning, June 20th beginning at 8:30 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

The Drainage Board will conduct a public hearing on the petition to put the Leeper et al Ditch into the Garner Ditch into the County’s mutual drainage program.  They will also discuss the Yantiss Ditch in Tippecanoe Township.

The Commissioner’s meeting begins at 9:30 in the County Building.  They will hear from Highway Superintendent Jason Peters and a request from Sheriff Hassel for vehicle estimates.  Also on the agenda is a discussion on rural broadband from Surf Air with Gene Cruise and Dave Lewallen from Marshall County Fiber.  Previously the commissioners pledged to commit $1 million of the ARP funds to extend broadband in selected rural areas of the county. 

The commissioners will also hear from Laura Walls Executive Director of Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, the County Attorney’s report, the Auditor’s report, and from the public. 

Listed under Commissioner Items are an Intergovernmental agreement between the county and the City of Plymouth for Bridge #232, the Randolph Street Bridge, and a discussion of covering the employee cost for group health insurance for the remainder of this year and in 2023 the help battle the inflation cost county employees are experiencing for gas, food, housing and more.
