The Marshall County Council meets at 9 a.m. Monday in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

Last week the County Commissioners approved the request of Public Health Nurse Sandy Dunfee to apply for the $110,000 Schools Reopening Grant.  She explained that the grant will provide assistance to the schools in the county offering vision and hearing screenings as well as sending compliance reports to the state about childhood vaccinations.

Ann Anglin from the County’s Human Resources Department will present a job description for a legal secretary and Sheriff Matt Hassel will request an amendment to the Salary Ordinance for Court Security. Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will also discuss wages.

Council members will consider additional appropriation and transfer requests and will vote on an ordinance for Petty Cash Drawers and an amendment to the Salary Ordinance.  Also on their agenda is the reappointment of Joyce Graybill to the Bremen Public Library Board, the review of the tax Abatement compliance form for Center Street Properties LLC, Faulkner Fabricating, and Houin Family Farm LLC.  the County Council will also consider the 2023 meeting schedule.

The County Council meeting is open to the public and there are two opportunities for public comment on agenda items.
