Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department arrested 37-year-old Joshua McCarty with an address in the 100 block of North Walnut Street on Wednesday evening June 8th.
Mr. McCarty was arrested at 222 West LaPorte Street just before 8 p.m. on an outstanding Marshall County warrant for Failure to Appear.
Mr. McCarty was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail on his outstanding warrant and the new criminal charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and held on a $500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
